Major Oak Surgery Patient Participation Group

Patient representatives at Major Oak Surgery in Edwinstowe are continuing their work to support the practice, acting as a critical friend by offering constructive criticism and suggesting possible solutions to issues raised by patients or the practice.

In January, the group organised a mixed health event at Edwinstowe Village Hall, supported by Major Oak Medical Practice and the Newark and Sherwood Community Voluntary Service. Various health organisations attended, giving residents the chance to meet local health and wellbeing providers, learn about their services, and access resources to help improve their lifestyles.

Continuing their mission to promote health advice and information, the group is now planning a summer health event, which will feature a wider range of health-related organisations and wellbeing-focused community groups. The event is scheduled to take place at South Forest Leisure Centre on Wednesday 18th June in the afternoon.

Publicity around the village and further notifications from the practice will provide more details about the organisations attending.
