Major Oak Pop Choir

The ladies of the Major Oak Pop Choir were delighted to be back rehearsing after the Christmas and New Year break and are starting to learn a brand-new set of repertoire for a series of concerts in summer 2023. The theme of these concerts will be ‘Movies and Musicals’ with lots of ‘feel-good’ favourites to transport you to a happy place. A toe-tapping, uplifting evening is guaranteed – what is not to like about that?!

At the time of writing, one confirmed concert date is: Saturday 15th July, 7.30pm: St John the Baptist Church, East Markham.

Other dates are being planned and will be advertised once the dates have been confirmed.

The Major Oak Pop Choir is an adult choir, exclusively for ladies. Based in Edwinstowe, there are no auditions to join, and you don’t even have to be able to read music. Choir members come from all walks of life and attend weekly rehearsals to enjoy friendship, fun, and to share a love of singing. Through their performances, the choir are proud to have raised tens of thousands of pounds for good causes, many of them local to Nottinghamshire.
