On Saturday 21st July, Lynds Close Luncheon Club held their annual Cream Tea Day at Lynds Close Community Lounge to raise funds towards their pantomime in December. It was a beautiful day and the club was well supported by the local community.
Local businesses gave generously and provided a range of raffle prizes. The John Eastwood Hospice brought their plant stall, Louise sold her glitter ware, Adele sold jewellery and Sharon had a bric-a-brac stall and donated the money to Lynds Close. They raised £500.00 throughout the day from cream tea sales, raffles and the bric-a-brac stall. It would not have been possible without the hard work of the volunteer group and thanks go to Sue, Helen, Sue, Catherine and Alex, Ann and Sandra, Dawn, Pat, Mick, Sharon and Dave. Elaine Murphy baked and iced a beautiful chocolate cake and we raised £60.00 from the cake raffle. A special thank you goes to the following businesses for donating prizes for the raffle:
