This art exhibition is a one-off opportunity to view diverse paintings in a variety of media which showcase the work of the late Evelyn Walker, resident of Upton near Retford (1920 – 2019), and her daughter Jill.
Evelyn’s retrospective reflects her love of local scenery, flowers, animals and Italy. Largely inspired by nature, Jill’s work can be quirky and more abstract.
Many of the paintings, as well as prints and cards, will be for sale.
The exhibition will be held at Headon Church, DN22 0RE (about four miles south-east of Retford) and it will be the weekend of 18th and 19th June from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Tea, coffee and cakes will be available. The church itself is 12th century in peaceful surrounding and with wonderful views.
There is disabled access, and parking and toilet facilities are available nearby at the village hall.
Do go along to enjoy both the art and the setting!
