Letter from Windsor marks 100 years of Ollerton WI

Ollerton WI would like to wish all their members, and all of Ollerton, Boughton and surrounding villages, a happy new year. Their committee members are still busy keeping members informed and up-to-date on what’s been going on and they did manage to get their Christmas party on Zoom. They enjoyed two condensed pantos, Snow White and Cinderella, and quizzes, Christmas poems and even Christmas cracker jokes. It was a very successful and enjoyable evening.
All of the group’s members received a Christmas card from the WI’s federation head office, which was very nice, and all members also received a chocolate gift and Christmas card from Ollerton WI, delivered by committee members. Their thanks go to the group’s president Jo for all the hard work she has done for them in a very difficult time.
Ollerton WI are celebrating their 100th birthday this year and they have received a 100th birthday certificate from the head of the Nottinghamshire Federation of WIs. Not only that, but they also received a letter from Windsor Castle from the Lady in Waiting on behalf of the Queen. All of the WI members are incredibly proud of this achievement as they do such a lot of good work within the local community. Here’s to another 100 years of Ollerton WI.
