The Dukeries Community Workshop at Ollerton, is pleased to offer a new, exciting taster course that will introduce you to the wonderful world of textiles and what can be achieved at home with simple equipment. You will be working with Claire, an experienced hand weaver and teacher and it will run over six Thursday mornings from 10.00am to 12.30pm, starting on 7th June through to 12th July.

Each session will cost £8.00 and includes all tuition and materials and will be limited to 10 students. Each week Claire will take you through a different aspect of weaving. Tea and coffee making facilities are on hand (10p/cup donation) and if you wish to bring a packed lunch you will be welcome to stay and perhaps find out a little more about what the workshop offers on other days of the week.

The Dukeries Community Workshop is a registered charity and is run by volunteers. It was established over 30 years ago and has a large workshop within the Dukeries Complex, Whinney Lane, New Ollerton NG22 9TD, where regular sessions in all aspects of woodworking, including carving, together with creative glass techniques are run throughout the week. There is plenty of free parking and the facility can also be reached by bus.
