On 24th November the ladies of the Inner Wheel Club of Warsop held their annual Christmas Fair and Coffee Morning at the John Fretwell Centre. There were 22 stalls and the event was very well attended by Inner Wheel members from around the district and from members of the public. A very jolly and festive start to the Christmas festivities was had by everyone, and an amazing £1,476.05 was raised for President Christine Parkin’s charity.
On 1st December the ladies held a flower arranging day. The event was hosted by Christine Fretwell and Mavis Allin, who did a fantastic job of teaching the techniques to make a floral Christmas ring and an all-round table arrangement. The ladies enjoyed the day immensely and there was laughter and smiles all day, along with the aroma of fresh cut foliage and flowers.
The club then supported its member and District Chairman Elaine Hopkins MBE with a carol service at St Peter and St Paul Church in Warsop on 4th December. The service was supported by members of the Inner Wheel District 22 and their families.
The Inner Wheel District 22 choir sang carols and members of Warsop Club gave the readings. This was followed by tea and cake and a visit from Santa.
The ladies concluded their festivities with a Christmas friendship meal at The Fox at Kirton on 7th December. A busy but fun filled end to 2022.
In the year to come the club are looking forward to their Spring / Easter Fair and Coffee Morning on 22nd March and their Fifty and Fabulous Ball on 19th May. If you would like more information on any of the upcoming events please see www.warsopinnerwheel.co.uk, Facebook or Instagram.
