The Inner Wheel Club of Warsop is a local part of an international organisation for women. The club is celebrating its 50th year of friendship and service to local, national and international causes.
Among the many charities that have benefited from the charity fundraising the club has undertaken include: The Oaklands, Warsop sporting trust, John Eastwood Hospice, Pleasley Wildlife Centre, NSPCC, Autism UK, Alzheimer’s Society, Diabetes UK, Breast Cancer, Air Ambulance, Bluebell Wood Hospice, Rhubarb Farm, Royal British Legion Warsop, Warsop Scouts as well as many overseas projects.
The club meets on the first Wednesday of every month at the Hostess restaurant, where a meal and fellowship are enjoyed along with interesting speakers. The club also organises, holds and attends various events throughout the year and welcomes family, friends and the community to enjoy the activities. The most well-known of these events is the tea and cake at the Warsop Carnival.
