The National Garden Scheme team in Nottinghamshire is running a garden photography competition this year to celebrate the beautiful gardens they open, inviting high quality, eye-catching images and offering some great prizes.
“National Garden Scheme garden owners and garden visitors are invited to enter photographs under the theme ‘In the Garden’,” explains the team publicist Julie Davison. “We have such beautiful gardens in Nottinghamshire and are keen to build a portfolio of pictures that help us reflect the wonderful gardens on offer to visitors. And, with prizes and inspirational garden visits lined up, sharing your photos will be the icing on the cake.”
Running from 1st April to 30th September, the competition has two entry categories:
- Garden Owner
- Garden Visitor
Each entrant can submit two photographs to a maximum size of 8MB each. All entries must be submitted through the National Garden Scheme website which also includes the full terms and conditions: www.ngs.org.uk/nottinghamshire-photography-competition.
Gardens are now opening locally in support of the National Garden Scheme. Book tickets and check the website before leaving home: www.ngs.org.uk. There are also gardens open ‘by arrangement’ which accept visitors to their garden for a more personalised visit on a pre-arranged date.
