The Friends of Milton Mausoleum are progressing with a full year of events and hoping that life runs smoothly for everyone.
The building is now open every Sunday from 2.00pm to 4.00pm until the end of September and there are several group visits booked through the year. Volunteers are always pleased to welcome you to this historic place and tell you of the history of the Dukes of Newcastle who lived locally. Go along and see the statue of Georgiana, now professionally cleaned thanks to donations and fundraising from supporters and friends, and there is now a ‘Children’s Corner’ with books and crafts to interest younger visitors.
The latest fundraising for ‘Unrestored Windows’ is now running and the Friends are grateful for donations received so far.
The next event is the summer concert ‘Lazy Hazy Crazy Days’ at 7.00pm on Saturday 16th July. Tickets are £8.00 each to include refreshments; book now to reserve your seat! Email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone Jenny on 01777 871706 and Bobby on 01777 870300.
