The East Midlands in Bloom competition awards took place on Wednesday 20th September at Springfields Event Centre, Spalding. Four of the Edwinstowe in Bloom (EiB) team were present at the awards ceremony and Edwinstowe was fortunate enough to be presented with a Silver Award in the town category this year. In addition, Jo and Carol were given a judge’s award for their vision, enthusiasm, and incredible support for members of the newly independent EinB Group.

The tallest sunflower awards ceremony for St Mary’s School took place on 19th September. The winning pupil of each of the four years was presented with an award. The winning entries ranged from 113cm to 293cm! The tallest was grown by Martha in class 3. The adult Sunflower competition for residents of Edwinstowe closed at the beginning of October and the winner of the competition will be presented with their award at the EiB Awards event at the beginning of November.
