Edwinstowe Hospice Support Group

We are firmly into 2021 and Edwinstowe Hospice Support Group are looking forward to the continuation of fundraising events. Such events have been rare recently but, following an invitation from the RSPB, they restarted by holding a stall at The Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre on Sunday 30th May. With the bonus of sunny weather, the group’s members spent a lovely day raising £254 for hospice funds.
They have also recently received a splendid donation of £3,155 from Tracey Wilson of Robin Hood Avenue, raised through her online sales of donated items. Special thanks to Tracey, her family and her team of helpers for their continued support.
The group raises funds for The John Eastwood Hospice in Sutton-in-Ashfield so it was pleasing to be invited to visit the hospice on 9th June. Members were given a tour of the latest refurbishments, which they have helped to fund and which continue to maintain first class palliative care for those with terminal illness. As a bonus, they enjoyed some lovely refreshments too.
The group’s Coffee Mornings are returning to The Village Hall with two dates for your diaries: Saturday 18th September and Saturday 20th November. They hope to see you there.
