Edwinstowe Hospice Support Group’s Plant Sale and Coffee Morning on 24th May was a great success, raising £864. As the Village Hall is being refurbished, they held the event completely inside the hall with the plants and other stalls benefitting from close proximity to each other, and this, combined with the large number of customers, generated a lively spending atmosphere. Thanks to all who attended and especially to those who helped during this enjoyable community morning.
Plants were again on offer at the Group’s stall at Wellow Maypole Day on 26th May, raising a rewarding £275. Many plant bargains were snapped up by eager customers, some of whom were returning due to successful purchases last year.
This May weekend resulted in a combined total of £1,139 being raised, providing continued funding for The John Eastwood Hospice.
