At their Winter Fayre on Saturday 19th November, held in Edwinstowe Village Hall, Edwinstowe Hospice Support Group were very pleased to donate a cheque for £12,533 to Tracey Joyce, John Eastwood Hospice Trust Manager. This amount was the total from two sources: firstly, their events from the last year which raised £5,000 and secondly, £7,533 from Tracey Wilson, her family and team of Robin Hood Avenue who very kindly donate the proceeds of online sales.
The group thank Tracey, her family and team for their efforts and for donating to them. It was a splendid combined amount which goes towards funding the vital work of the John Eastwood Hospice.
The day of the Edwinstowe Christmas lights switch-on, 24th November, proved to be very wet but fortunately the skies cleared later and the group were able to conduct their hamper raffle, lucky dips and also the tombola organised by Millie Gorman. Through the generosity of visitors, they raised £380, a very satisfying figure which, together with the £647 proceeds of the Winter Fayre, gives them a great start to their next year of fundraising.
