The Lions will be hosting a Race Night on Friday 15th July at The South Forest Leisure Centre, Edwinstowe. There will be eight races, with each race featuring eight horses.

The Lions would like to thank everyone who has already donated; they have seen these donations are reaching their destination and making a difference. A special thanks to the John Eastwood Foundation for their generous donation allowing the purchase of lots of medical items and specialised clothing.
The Lions’ appeal for unwanted specs has really taken off, with a massive 90kg of spectacles (without cases) sent to countries in need.

Easter egg raffle
For the annual Easter egg raffle this year the Lions decided to support the Brain Tumour Research charity. The Lions would like to thank the following establishments for selling tickets:

Marie Curie Daffodils
The total collection for Marie Curie at Morrison’s Mansfield Woodhouse was an outstanding £864.64. Thanks to all who donated.
Easter egg donations
The Lions gave Easter eggs to Ollerton and Boughton Young People’s Centre and also to the Mansfield Refuge Centre. The Refuge is for families who have escaped domestic violence.
