Santa, with the help of Edwinstowe and the Dukeries Lions Club and their wonderful supporters collected almost £8,000 in December! A big thank you to everyone who donated. This money will be used very wisely by the Club around our local communities. The weather was truly shocking but they never gave in and did their best to visit as many people as possible.
After a brief rest, the Lions will start again organising fundraisers throughout the year. They plan to host at least one Quiz Night, one Race Night and a bigger Fashion Show and, of course, they will add to this list throughout the year.
Edwinstowe and the Dukeries Lions Club has been going for nearly 45 years, and the Lions organisation over 105 years. They have no paid executives and are self funded. However, to continue to make a difference they need your help – they need more members and sponsors.
