The Dukeries Community Band wishes everyone a happy and successful 2023.
They had a very busy December with several performances in an around Ollerton. Hopefully, you had an opportunity to listen to them playing.
So, what’s in store for the band now? They will be rehearsing pieces for performances during 2023.
As a community band they are always happy to have new players, of any age, to join them. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t played for a while, or have started to learn fairly recently. All they ask is that you can read music, want to improve, can attend rehearsals and are able to play in the band’s concerts. They are particularly looking for flute players at the current time.

They rehearse each Tuesday during term time at The Dukeries Academy, New Ollerton, from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Their ever-increasing repertoire features pop to classical with lots in between, so there is plenty for everyone to enjoy.
