Bassetlaw Branch of Parkinson’s UK

by | 2 July 2024 | Sherwood, Support Group

The Bassetlaw branch of Parkinson’s UK members can look forward to a summer of activities, outings and teatime treats.

Following the hilarious stories about the life of a toastmaster given by Geoffrey Harris, a warm welcome was extended to Bob Massey talking about Glen Millar at the June meeting.

36 members enjoyed a lively time together at the May Lunch Club. The dates of the next event is 23rd July. Thursday 11th July also sees members taking a coach trip to the National Memorial Arboretum.

The group continues to grow, with new members joining most months. The Branch aims to show that there is a social life to be had despite some of the problems of Parkinson’s.

Meetings are at Worksop Cricket Club, Central Avenue, S80 1EN at 2.00pm. New members are always very welcome and are warmly greeted.
