Grants
In recent months Tesco New Ollerton has granted £1,000 each to:

  • Outside The Cave Young Onset Dementia Rural Hub in Edwinstowe, which will help support those living with dementia by providing stimulating environment to create special memories.
  • St John Ambulance’s Emergency Appeal in Newark, which will provide first aid training and medical equipment to support our local communities.
  • St Mary’s Church Edwinstowe to help the St Mary’s art wood group to preserve and relocate Robin Hood figures from Sherwood Forest to promote tourism.

Book stall
Their book stall is up and running again. Please take your clean books along and swap them. All proceeds go to Tesco’s charity partners.

Fundraiser
They had a tombola and cycle bike outside Tesco New Ollerton on 26th June and raised £486.77 for Help for Heroes. Tesco would like to thank all customers and colleagues that helped and donated.

Make-up recycling
Did you know that at Tesco New Ollerton they recycle your old make-up empties? Just take it into the shop and pop it in the recycling box at the back of checkout. This is then collected by their recycling partner, Terracycle, and the makeup empties are separated by polymer type, cleaned and then extruded into plastic pellets to make new recycled products. They do encourage the makeup to be as empty as possible, to help with the cleaning and recycling process.
They can’t accept glass bottles and cardboard packaging, as these can already be recycled by most local council recycling systems, or aerosols.
