This month’s lunchtime organ recital at St Swithun’s Church in Retford will be given by Rosemary Field, Director of Music at Worksop Priory, on Thursday 20th August at 1.00pm. Her programme promises to be both varied and engaging, featuring music by César Franck, Naji Hakim and Three Preludes on Christmas Melodies by David Halls.
As usual, the church will be open from 12.15pm, when light lunches will be available. Both the recital and the lunches are free of charge, although donations are always welcome. All proceeds go towards the maintenance of the church’s fine organ. With only two more recitals remaining this season, don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy an excellent afternoon of music.
