Following a highly successful mini-tour of Hampshire, singing with Romsey Male Voice Choir and Milton Glee Choir, Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir is delighted to be sharing the stage with Vicky McClure’s Our Dementia Choir on Saturday 27th June at Mansfield Rugby Club.
The venue offers excellent acoustics and a relaxed atmosphere, making it a supportive setting for performers. It is the second time this year that Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir has staged a concert there, following the sell-out performance with Morriston Orpheus on Saturday 28th March.
On this occasion, the Mansfield choir is honoured to perform alongside Our Dementia Choir, especially for Mick Tunney, who sings with both choirs. Geoff Hursthouse, former chairman of Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir, also sings while supporting Mick and others. Geoff’s daughter, Daniela Smith, is the musical director of Our Dementia Choir, making the evening a real family occasion.

The contrasts and combinations of the two choirs promise a light-hearted and entertaining evening. The room will be laid out in café-style to create an informal atmosphere, with enough space for guests to bring their own food. Drinks will be available from the rugby club’s licensed bar.
