Sherwood Forest Brass recently presented two autumn concerts at St Andrew’s Church, Eakring and Clipstone Social Club. The varied programme was warmly received by both audiences, however new supporters were established in Eakring as this was the first time the band had appeared in this village.
The band will now be working hard on their Christmas programme for concerts in Laxton on Friday 5th December and in Clipstone on Monday 15th December as well a Church Service at All Saints, Clipstone on Tuesday 16th December. The musicians will also play during carolling at the Edwinstowe and Warsop Christmas events plus other local venues over the festive period.
If you play an instrument or have played in the past go along and join in with Sherwood Forest Brass on a Monday evening. They have instruments available for every age and ability and instrument hire is free. If you don’t read music they will teach you. Tuition is also free.
The band currently rehearse on Mondays, 7.00pm to 9.00pm, at Clipstone Social Club, Clipstone NG21 9AL.
