Community is a unique experience for each person. For some, it may mean a safe place or a familiar location. The National Holocaust Museum was built by a community of supporters, led by the remarkable Smith family founders 30 years ago, and community remains central to its work today.
Visitors are offered a warm welcome, and there is a homely coffee shop that can also be visited without museum admission.
Anyone who has been thinking of visiting is encouraged to make 2026 the year to do so. A full list of events is planned, beginning in January with survivor speakers for the commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day.
Admission lasts for 12 months, so visitors only pay once. Some events carry a small additional charge, while others are included within the admission.
