Heritage Week runs from Saturday 13th to Sunday 21st September and, this year, the theme is Architecture. The Walks of Life Museum will be open every day. The former 18th-century posting house in Tuxford is now the Museum of the Horse and gallery. The conference room at the museum is available for weekly bookings or one-off events.

The museums are busy preparing for a second online auction via the-saleroom.com on the evening of Saturday 19th October. This allows visitors to bid from the comfort of their own homes. Lots can be viewed online from early October. In person, the lots will be available for viewing in the conference room on Friday 17th from 10.00am to 4.00pm and Saturday 18th from 10.00am to 1.00pm. Entries are welcome if you wish to sell anything. One visitor said it was one of the most interesting auctions he had attended for a long time. Although there is a strong sporting theme, there will also be a good selection of non-sporting items.
