Forest Town Girlguiding is welcoming new members, offering girls and young women the opportunity to make friends, build confidence and try new experiences in a fun and supportive environment. They meet every Tuesday at Flint Avenue and currently run:

  • Rainbows (ages four to seven)
  • Brownies (ages seven to 10)
  • Guides (ages 10 to 14)
  • Rangers (ages 14 to 18)

Members take part in everything from crafts, games and cooking to camping, outdoor adventures, community projects and trips away. Girlguiding gives young people the chance to develop independence, teamwork and confidence whilst having plenty of fun along the way.
Whether it’s a child taking part in their very first sleepover, learning new skills outdoors, or simply finding a place where they feel they belong, Girlguiding helps girls grow in confidence and make lasting memories.
Organisers are also always happy to hear from adults interested in volunteering. No previous experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a willingness to support local girls and young women.

If you’d like to find out more about joining or volunteering, visit http://www.girlguiding.org.uk to register your interest and find your local unit.

They are proud to support girls and young women in the Forest Town community.
