Autumn is the close of garden visiting season, but there is one outstanding garden for visitors to enjoy – a garden and plant nursery which has received national acclaim over the years and is home to two National Plant Collections of Astrantia and Chrysanthemums, the latter will be in full bloom in October.
It has been a challenging gardening year, weather wise, so the National Garden Scheme organisers send a huge thank you to all the garden owners who have worked hard to keep their gardens looking good during the droughts, and to all the garden visitors who support the NGS year upon year.

A jewel box of over 3,000 different, beautiful, and unusual plants sumptuously set out in a one-acre plantsman’s garden including shady garden with woodland gems, cottage garden borders, Alpine and scree areas. Pond with opulently planted margins. Extensive herbaceous borders and effervescent colour themed beds. Autumn opening features UK’s largest collection of Hardy Chrysanthemums for sale and the national collection of Hardy Chrysanthemums. Recently featured in gardens illustrated, the English garden, and featured in the RHS garden magazine. Grass paths, no wheelchair access to woodland paths.
