Autumn is the perfect time to prepare your garden to support wildlife through the winter. At the Dukeries Community Workshop’s woodworking sessions – held on Monday evenings, Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings – participants can make bird boxes, bug hotels and hedgehog houses. Experienced volunteers are on hand to assist and guide you through your project, and a small supply of wood is available for beginners. The Dukeries Community Workshop is a charitable organisation based at the Dukeries Community Centre in Ollerton, established in 1988. It offers a range of craft workshops, as well as regular drop-in sessions where individuals can work on their own projects, with access to tools, machinery and guidance.
