Cook Stars – new sessions

Helen Walker has been running Cook Stars Minis for some months now and, delighted with the success of these sessions, she is now adding workshops for older children on a Thursday evening.

The classes aim to encourage an interest and enjoyment in food and cooking and are very hands-on with everyone making their own dish from scratch and creating something to be proud of! Everything is provided, so children can simply go along and get cooking.

Booking is online at https://cook-stars-lincoln-north-gainsborough.classforkids.io – but, if you would like more information, Helen can be contacted on 07592 153056.

  • Cook Stars Minis (two to 11 years) – Mondays 1.30pm to 2.45pm
  • Cook Stars Juniors (five to 11 years) – Thursdays 5.45pm to 7.00pm

Singing for Pleasure Choir Summer Concert – Wednesday 1st May, 7.30pm to 9.30pm

May Day was the ancient celebration of Beltane, when bonfires were lit to welcome the summer and people leapt over the embers for good luck. Well, there’ll be none of that but you can look forward to an evening of songs, music and readings. Regulars know that these concerts are always varied and fun, so do go along and join in. Tickets cost £7.00 (under-16s free) from Mary Hollingsworth on 01652 648435, Morrisons Daily (Market Place) or on the door.
