September services and events
Sundays – 10.30am:
Morning worship with Sunday activities for children. Coffee, tea and biscuits, and time to chat follow the service. Communion is shared on the second and fifth Sundays of the month.
Sunday 7th September, 10.30am:
St Saviour’s Café Church: An exciting new way to explore faith and experience church, held on the first Sunday of every month. A free breakfast / brunch will be served in church from 10.30am to 10.40am, followed by a short, informal and accessible service suitable for anyone curious or seeking to belong. All are welcome – whatever your age.
Lego Club:
Resumes on Tuesday 9th September after its summer break, 3.30pm to 4.45pm. Snacks, Lego building, games and Bible stories for primary age children and their adults.
Wednesdays, 10.30am:
Traditional Book of Common Prayer Communion, followed by a time of friendship and refreshments.
Thursdays from 5.00pm: Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet weekly. For information, contact clarecheetham19@gmail.com.
Grief Café:
First Tuesday of each month, 2.00pm to 3.00pm. An informal get-together for those who have been bereaved, offering a safe environment to share experiences. Just turn up, or contact Barbara Moakes on 07768 159844.
Pies, Peas and Performances:
Monthly live music events in the Community Centre. For more information, contact Mark Barnett on 01777 701865. This month, on Saturday 27th September, the guest will be Ian Wright.
Time Together Groups:
Midweek groups where people meet to learn more about the Christian faith and spend time chatting. Contact Jane and Andrew on 01777 948431 or Barbara Moakes on 07768 159844.
In addition, the Community Centre hosts regular AA meetings, art classes, calligraphy, bingo, Tiny Toes Ballet, and a judo group. For contact details for these groups, phone Martin Dawson on 01780 529811.
