After a long break, St Joseph’s Hall on Sherwood Drive in Ollerton, close by Tesco, is scheduled to reopen in spring 2026. Preparatory work is now under way, with repairs and refurbishment due to begin shortly. The initial aim is for the hall to be used by the St Joseph’s congregation during the Easter festivities in April. It is then hoped that the hall will be available for public bookings from Friday 1st May.
The main hall includes a stage and dancefloor and has a capacity of up to 200 people. In addition, a side room can accommodate up to 50 attendees, making it suitable for smaller events. Anticipated uses include concerts, amateur dramatics, community and charity activities, fairs, dancing, rehearsals and a wide range of other events. A public car park is located on the east side of Sherwood Drive behind the funeral parlours, with designated taxi drop-off spaces available on Sherwood Drive itself.
