Join Mansfield District Council for the returning Mansfield FireLight Festival at Titchfield Park on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February, between 5.30pm and 9.00pm on both nights.
They are bringing back Mansfield Light Night for its third year, BUT with a whole new trail added. It’s more fierce, fiery, and fantastic than ever before!
And thanks to UKSPF government funding and the Arts Council England funding, it is completely free to attend!
What to expect
The Festival will feature Walk the Plank’s Fire Garden – a stunning installation of fiery sculptures that will transform one half of Titchfield Park into a blazing trail to wander through.
Audience members are invited to explore the Fire Garden at their own pace, or stand and watch, mesmerised, always close enough to feel the heat. The immersive experience encompasses a variety of intricate hand-crafted artworks, including shimmering burning bushes, giant lotus flowers pulsing plumes of fire and imposing trees in fiery bloom.
So that’s the fire part of the event covered, now onto the Light show that we all now know and love…
The Light trail will illuminate the other half of Titchfield Park, by enhancing its natural surroundings into a brilliant, shimmering experience.
With 2024 and 2025’s event being such a hit, they’re back for year three—bigger and better than ever.
The popular enchanted forest will be back with more animals to spot in the woodland than before, the arches and fairy wall will return for your favourite selfie spot and there will be more mirror balls! This along with new features will leave you and all the family amazed!
In addition to all of the above, local superstars GymStarz will be taking over the performance area with the acrobatics, aerial shows, fire dances and circus tricks – most of which you can join in and have a go!
The 5.30pm to 6.00pm viewing time is for a more relaxed viewing, so this could be an ideal time to visit for those with specific sensory requirements, disabilities, or anyone who prefers a quieter, more accessible environment. It will be naturally lighter at this time, organisers will dim the lights and sounds, turn off certain lights and not ignite certain installations.
