Adult events

  • Crime Reading Group: Meets monthly for book discussions and friendly chat. Upcoming meetings: Tuesdays 5th August and 2nd September.
  • Craft & Chat: Every Wednesday from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Take your own project or start something new. All crafts welcome.
  • Job Club: Runs alternate Wednesdays at 2.30pm. August sessions: Wednesday 13th, 20th and 27th. Help with CVs, job searching and more.

Children’s events

  • Rhyme, Rattle and Roll: Every Friday at 2.00pm (term time only). Songs and rhymes for young children to develop coordination and vocabulary.
  • Lego Club: Mondays 4.00pm to 5.00pm and Saturdays 10.00am to 12.00pm.
  • Code Club: Saturdays 10.00am to 11.00am (term time only). For children aged nine to 13 to learn coding with Scratch and Python. To join, email sfepartnership@gmail.com.

 

Summer Reading Challenge: Story Garden

Running from Saturday 5th July to Saturday 6th September

Inspire Libraries are inviting children to step into a world of imagination with the Story Garden Summer Reading Challenge. Children are encouraged to read six library books over the summer, collecting rewards along the way. Every child who completes the challenge will receive a certificate and medal. Under 4s can join in with a mini challenge too. Children can also move their bee or butterfly marker along Ollerton Library’s Story Garden display as they read. Craft and activity sessions at Ollerton Library include:

Dukeries Library

Located within The Dukeries Academy. Enter via the Whinney Lane entrance and press the buzzer at the front gate – reception staff will assist. The library offers a wide range of fiction, non-fiction, spoken word and large print titles. Free computer access is available, along with Microsoft Office and online resources.

  • Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 12.30pm, 1.00pm to 4.00pm
  • Friday: 8.30am to 12.30pm, 1.00pm to 3.45pm
