Are you a caring and reliable person? Do you have a couple of hours to spare a week? Your community needs you! Your CVS are urgently seeking community heroes in the form of voluntary transport drivers across Gedling, Newark and Sherwood and Rushcliffe!
Voluntary Transport Drivers are a vital service within the community which helps people stay independent and connected. It strives to help people who do not have access to a car, have difficulty using public transport, limited mobility, or live in a remote location. Using your own car, you’ll provide door-to-door journeys for helping people get to appointments, go shopping, and attend social activities with your support.
This flexible role asks for as little as two hours per week on days that suit you, and all miles are reimbursed. You will also be fully supported with training, induction and ongoing guidance. Suitability requires being over 18 years old, having at least two years driving experience, a full UK licence, insurance and passing a DBS check.
