Edwinstowe and the Dukeries Lions are a brilliant group of supportive people who balance having fun and raising funds to support for good causes. Many of them have full time jobs, some are retired or semi-retired, but they are united in helping worthy causes.
They work hard and play hard. A recent social occasion saw them invite members old and new to join them and friends from Retford and Southwell Lions Clubs for a games’ night. There was food and a few drinks available… because every so often they need to recharge their batteries and meet up with other clubs in the area.
Working with other clubs is vital, as they are able to exchange ideas on how best to serve the community.
Edwinstowe and the Dukeries Lions have one business meeting per month and also try to have a social meeting as well, and they would love to hear from potential new members. One phone call, or one email, is all it takes to change your life and hopefully others.
