Summer Reading Challenge 2025 – Story Garden

Available in all Inspire libraries from Saturday 5th July to Sunday 7th September

The 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, Story Garden, invites children to enter a world of imagination through reading. It celebrates nature, the great outdoors, fantasy, and the magic of storytelling.

  • Children sign up at the library to start the challenge.
  • They borrow books of their choice and record what they read.
Library staff and volunteers are available to chat about the stories.
  • With each book completed, children earn stickers and other rewards.
  • Those who read six library books receive a medal and certificate.

It’s all free, fun, and a brilliant way to keep children reading over the summer holidays.
