A special mid-summer evening concert will take place at 7.30pm on Saturday 21st June at a new venue for both the Ravenshead Swing Band and the Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir: Mansfield Rugby Club.
Following a successful collaboration at Southwell Minster, where they performed to a sell-out audience of over 450, the Ravenshead Swing Band and Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir will once again join forces for Summer Sing and Swing. These two accomplished groups have previously performed together at Southwell Minster, Ravenshead Village Hall and several local churches. With a capacity of 400, Mansfield Rugby Club promises to provide the setting for what could be the musical highlight of summer 2025.
The choir has recently returned from a highly successful four-day concert tour of South Wales—the home of male voice choirs – and is expected to be in peak form.
Audiences can look forward to toe-tapping, clapping and cheering along to uplifting swing music, while the male voice choir will deliver a programme featuring male voice standards, songs from the shows and a repertoire spanning a wide range of musical styles.
