Ollerton Library is located on Forest Road, next to the Post Office. It is open Monday to Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Regular adult events
The Crime Reading Group meets every month to discuss the monthly book and to also have a friendly chat! The next meetings will be 3rd December and 7th January.
The Craft & Chat group meets every Wednesday between 2.00pm and 4.00pm. Join friendly crafters! Take along your current craft project or start something new. All crafts welcome.
Ollerton Writers Group meets every other Saturday at Ollerton Library. If you like writing and want to improve or get feedback, go along! All genres, styles and ages welcome. The next meetings are 7th and 21st December at 9.30am.
Job Club runs alternate Wednesdays at 2.30pm. Go along for help with all aspects of job hunting from CV writing and navigating job search websites. The next meetings are 4th and 18th December.
Regular children’s events
Rhyme, Rattle & Roll takes place every Friday afternoon at 2.00pm, during term time only. Enjoy songs and rhymes with your little ones. It helps with vocabulary and coordination and it’s fun too! Meet new people and make new friends.
Lego Club takes place twice a week, every Monday between 4.00pm and 5.00pm and every Saturday between 10.00am and 12.00pm. What will you make this time?
Code Club takes place every Saturday between 10.00am and 11.00am, term time only, for children aged nine to 13. Join in to enjoy learning to code. If you would like to join, please pop into the library or email sfepartnership@gmail.com.
Code-A-Pillars visit the library
Any children (and adults, if you fancy!) want to have a go at coding done the easy way? The Code-A-Pillars will be at the library from the 2nd to 14th December.
Arrange and rearrange segments together in endless combinations to send the Code-a-Pillars on their way, helping to develop skills like problem solving, planning and critical thinking – as well as taking your first steps into coding.
Courses at Ollerton Library
A Christmas Macramé course runs on Mondays from 25th November to 9th December, 10.00am to 12.00pm. Learn all the basic knots you need to complete your own Christmas projects. No experience required; suitable for ages 19+.
A Bobbin Lace for Beginners course runs on Mondays from 25th November to 9th December, 12.30pm to 2.30pm. This course will introduce you to lace-making equipment and explore different lace styles from around the world. Suitable for all, no experience needed. Create either a brooch or a bookmark and develop your lace-making skills. Suitable for ages 19+.
Booking is required for both courses.

Dukeries Library is in the Dukeries Academy; just press the buzzer on the front gate at the Whinney Lane entrance and reception staff will let you in. Opening hours (term time only) are:
- Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 12.30pm, 1.00pm to 4.00pm
- Friday: 8.30am to 12.30pm, 1.00pm to 3.45pm
Dukeries Library has a wide range of books to borrow including fiction, non-fiction, spoken word and large print.
The computers are free to use whether you search the internet, access the online resources, search the catalogue, or use the Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
