Rotarians were busy in February making and displaying hearts for the RSPB Sherwood Forest project in Edwinstowe. It was well supported by local businesses as well as groups and societies from around the Edwinstowe and Ollerton area, and there was a great variety of hearts on display in and around Edwinstowe and the forest.
On Friday 20th May the Rotary Club of Sherwood Forest is running its annual Charity Golf Day at Rufford Park Golf and Country Club. Once again, they are sponsored by Jones and Co Solicitors, who have been sponsors since the event began in 2017. This year the main charity is Alzheimer’s Research UK.
The golf day is a team event with four in each team. The day starts at 10.00am with bacon rolls and tea or coffee before you go out, and a meal on your return to the clubhouse. Fees are £40.00 for non-Rufford Members and £25.00 for Rufford members. Entry sheets can be obtained from Rufford Park Golf Club or from malcolm.bevan@btinternet.com.
Local businesses are invited to sponsor a hole at £30.00 per hole and / or donate a prize to the raffle table. If anyone wishes to donate, please contact Malcolm at the above email address for further information.
