Sunday 12th December, 3.00pm to 8.00pm
Hosted by the Sally Mitchell Art Gallery
Back in August it was confirmed by our town council that our Christmas Market would not be going ahead (usually held on Newcastle Street). With just four months to prepare and a vision, myself and Emma Sills decided to take matters into our own hands…
In order to make this happen we needed to rely on the kindness and generosity of those in our local community. We got the ball rolling and some amazing local businesses have come forward to support us in this endeavour to make it possible, for both adults and children in our community who have missed out on so much over the past two years.
Since then, this has grown into something amazing. Tuxford’s Winter Wonderland will have the likes of craft stalls, one of a kind gifts, a hog roast, baked goods, entertainment*, licenced bars serving prosecco and mulled wine and the man himself: Father Christmas! Santa will be in the grotto located in the Museum / Gallery between 4.00pm and 7.00pm, ready to greet all of the ‘nice’ children with a small gift, completely free of charge. Grotto staff are fully DBS checked.
*Ryan Hurley from Fort Hurley Events Ltd will be running a full PA system with live vocalists and Christmas music. Yorkshire Owl Rescue will be running a show of owls and birds of prey.
With special thanks to our sponsors:
- Costcutter Tuxford
- Gosh Art Studios
- Premier Movers
- Pump Farm Day Nursery
- Euphoria Beauty Ltd
- All of those in our local community who have volunteered their time or donated items to make this possible.
Free admission, fun for all the family. Located in the car park behind the Museum. We hope to see you there!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Olivia Griffin and Emma Sills
