Outstanding local snowdrop gardens will open for the National Garden Scheme’s fourth Snowdrop Festival in February, giving visitors a warm welcome, as well as spectacular previews of spring.
The Beeches

Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th February, 11.00am to 4.00pm
Opening for the last time after many years of opening for the National Garden Scheme, this garden has a collection of 250 named snowdrops, along with hellebores and early daffodils. The lawn is heavily planted with crocus, fritillaries, anemones, narcissi and cyclamen. Set in open countryside with sweeping views, it also features rare and unusual plants with a large vegetable garden on raised beds. Wheelchair accessible, parking, plants for sale, dog friendly, refreshments.
Admission costs £3.00 for adults and children enter for free.

Church Farm

180 named varieties of snowdrops greet the visitor in this quintessential countryside garden, with masses of aconites and cyclamen, which have spread beautifully into the adjoining 12th century church of St Paul. The garden also features many planted troughs and a courtyard with collections of spring bulbs and is a delight to explore. A charming garden for snowdrop and garden fans alike. Wheelchair accessible, parking, plants for sale, dog friendly, refreshments served in the church.

An all-year round garden, which in winter and early spring features scented and unusual shrubs, providing form, structure and perfume, together with carpets of snowdrops, hellebores, crocus and spring bulbs. This garden shows that it is possible to have interest in the winter months and visitors can take home ideas to use in their own gardens. Wheelchair accessible, parking, plants for sale, refreshments.
