Chart-topping singer, ‘Dancing On Ice’ winner, and star of stage and screen, Suzanne Shaw, has been announced as the second celebrity judge for Worksop’s Got Talent 2024.

Since her debut on Popstars 24 years ago, Suzanne has achieved a UK #1 album, two UK #1 singles, won Dancing On Ice in 2008, joined the cast of Emmerdale, and starred in various West End productions, including Chicago, Snow White, and Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

On joining Worksop’s Got Talent, Suzanne said: “I am so honoured and excited to be joining Worksop’s Got Talent as one of their 2024 judges! I started out on a talent show, so I know what amazing opportunities can come from taking part in one. I can’t wait to find Worksop’s next winner! See you in November!”

Suzanne will be joined on the celebrity judging panel by award-winning Coronation Street actor Jude Riordan, along with two other famous faces. Jude joined the cast of the UK’s biggest soap in 2020 and has since won a National Television Award for Best Newcomer and several other awards.

The multi-award-winning charity talent show, Worksop’s Got Talent, returns for its eighth year on Friday 8th November 2024, at North Notts Arena. Tickets are on sale now for £10.00 each: www.ticketsource.co.uk/worksopsgottalent.

James Clarke, the event organiser, added: “Over the past 24 years, Suzanne has achieved so much across music, TV, and musical theatre, so I can’t wait for her to join us for our biggest ever Worksop’s Got Talent! Buy your tickets today and follow us on social media to stay up to date on our most spectacular show yet!”

Since 2016, Worksop’s Got Talent has raised an impressive £145,000 for national sight loss charity Retina UK, as well as winning nine awards, selling out seven times (with 700 guests each year), and earning the event organiser invitations to Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, and the House of Commons.

Auditions for this year’s show are taking place in Worksop on Sunday 1st September. Organisers are searching for the best varied talent that Worksop has to offer, including singers, dancers, comedians, magicians, and anything else they haven’t seen before! The 12 lucky finalists will then perform in front of 700 local people and an all-star celebrity judging panel in November.

There are no age restrictions to take part, and aspiring finalists should email worksopsgottalent@outlook.com with their full name, age, talent, and contact number. Previous contestants have gone on to perform at high-profile corporate gigs, go viral online with millions of views, and even appear on several TV programmes, including The Voice UK.

Previous celebrity judges have included Grammy-winning songwriter Eliot Kennedy, Coronation Street star Kym Marsh, Emmerdale actor Dean Andrews, S Club 7 legend Jo O’Meara, Sheffield Wednesday footballer Liam Palmer, various Love Island stars, and many more. Celebrities have also made virtual appearances, with Boris Johnson, Piers Morgan, and James Corden among the biggest names to appear during the final. Who will be making an appearance this year?
