Retired Worksop Police Sergeant John ‘Foxy’ Fowler attended the annual Bike Bonanza event at Mallory Park in Leicestershire, where he handed over a 1966 Suzuki race bike. This iconic bike helped Whitwell race ace Terry Brocklehurst secure eight championship wins.
The bike had been retired from racing many years ago and was sold to a collector who displayed it in his private museum and at the Donington Park Museum.
When the previous owner heard the bike was back on the market, he repurchased it and donated it to The 1946 Marshals Association. The bike will now help publicise the association’s work at race meetings and their involvement with various charities.
Foxy Fowler handed the bike over to Shaun Dalton of the Association, and later that day, it was paraded by racing legend and owner of VRS Racing, Robbie Silvester.
