Worksop Wonders WI

Worksop Wonders WI has enjoyed a fantastic start to 2022.

Membership is continually increasing, and the group has settled into their new meeting venue at Thievesdale Community Centre. Already they have enjoyed some excellent presentations from guest speakers including a Victoria Cross awarded to a grandfather and ‘Tea Etiquette’.

The group’s committee is busy planning speakers for the coming year and a full program will be available shortly. They hope to arrange a broad array of speakers and events that will appeal to members. This makes every meeting different and educational as well as forming the basis of a friendly social gathering.

Worksop Wonders’ meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month, with the next being at 7.00pm on Wednesday 13th April at Thievesdale Community Centre in Worksop. The guest speaker will be Sue Floyd, speaking about royal brides.

New members are always welcome. The first two meetings you attend are free of charge to give you the opportunity to see what the WI is all about. Annual membership is then £44.00 per year, which covers the cost of all meetings and eight copies of WI Life magazine, plus access to numerous county events.
