As 2026 begins, are you looking to get out more, make new friends, and discover new hobbies? Joining Worksop Wonders WI could be just the opportunity you’re looking for. The group was originally formed to give women who work or have other daytime commitments the chance to be part of the WI. This January marks its 14th anniversary – a wonderful milestone in its ongoing success story.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.00pm. Over the years, the group has met in several venues, and is currently based at Poplar Church (The Golden Ball) in Worksop. Each meeting usually features a guest speaker covering a wide variety of topics.
The Worksop Wonders is a friendly and welcoming group of women, representing a broad range of ages and interests. Alongside the main meetings, there are also several sub-groups which meet monthly, including a craft club, a book club, and the ever-popular ‘Meet and Eat’ group. The Meet and Eat group enjoys visiting a variety of local cafés and restaurants for meals and get-togethers, both at lunchtime and in the evening.
