As the darker nights draw in and autumn arrives, it’s lovely to meet up with fellow members of Worksop Wonders WI at the monthly meetings. It’s a warm, friendly group that brings together people of all ages and interests.
Each monthly meeting usually features a guest speaker or demonstration. Recent topics have included artisan bread making and a blind mince pie tasting – a fun and delicious way to prepare for the festive season and discover everyone’s favourite mince pies.
Alongside the main meetings, the group also runs several sub-groups, including a craft club, a book club, and the ever-popular Meet and Eat group, which visits a wide variety of local cafés and restaurants for meals and social get-togethers.
Planned trips for the coming months include a visit to Beamish Christmas Market and a decoupage crafting evening in Mansfield.
