Worksop Wonders WI has had a busy few months, which included many different activities from indoor curling, an evening at the dog races to pork pie making.
November will continue with a further diverse range of planned activities.
The monthly meeting will be on Wednesday 8th November at Thievesdale Community Centre, making decorations for the Priory Christmas Tree display – so glue pots will be at the ready!
Trips in November will be the Book Club’s trip to Sheffield Lyceum to see an Agatha Christie play and a general group day trip to the Halifax Piece Hall for their Christmas Market.
A new sub-group of Meet and Eat is very popular among members and continues to meet at various eateries in the area to sample their menus.
Membership has grown to over 50 members with an age range of 40 years, but is now near capacity for the Community Centre. The group has started a waiting list for membership and will offer places to ladies in order of their place on the waiting list.
The first visit is free of charge and allows opportunity to see if membership is for you – but please make contact via Facebook or the webpage prior to attending for the first time.
