It has been a busy, entertaining start to the year for Worksop Wonders WI.
The group celebrated its 11th anniversary with a birthday party and also had trips to Nottingham theatre and the Savoy cinema.
There were also great talks from guest speakers on the subjects of Music Hall stars and the history of the OXO cube.
The next monthly meeting at Thievesdale Community Centre at 7.00pm on Wednesday 8th March will be the AGM, followed by Adrian Gray telling members about the scandals of Sherwood Forest!
Worksop Wonders WI will be hosting a Spring Fair at Thievesdale Community Centre on Saturday 11th March from 12.00pm to 2.00pm.
The event will include crafts, books, jewellery, handbags, local honey and much more. Men in Sheds will also be holding a stall.
There will be a raffle, tombola and treasure hunt, as well as refreshments and cakes; something to interest both children and adults!
All are welcome to attend and entry is free.
Membership has grown to over 50 members with an age range of 40 years, but is now near capacity for the Community Centre. The group has started a waiting list for membership and will offer places to ladies in order of their place on the waiting list.
The first visit is free of charge and allows opportunity to see if membership is for you – but please make contact via Facebook or the webpage prior to attending for the first time.
