At the monthly Worksop and District u3a meeting in February Dr Tim Gray MBE gave a very interesting and informative talk about EMICS. This is a network of volunteer doctors who have specialist training in pre-hospital emergency medicine who, with the East Midland Ambulance Service, administer this at the scene of life threatening emergencies. That treatment could literally be the difference between life and death of the injured patient.
The group’s next meeting is on Thursday 20th April at 2.00pm when Bernie Pedley will present a talk titled ‘A Magical Experience’. The meeting is held at Carlton in Lindrick Civic Centre. Drinks will be available from 1.30pm and all are welcome.
