The new season of talks at the Worksop Probus Club starts on Friday 2nd September with a talk on Beekeeping, by Beryl Hollingworth and June Harvey, at St John’s Parish Centre, Carlton in Lindrick. Talks then continue every other Friday.
Are you interested in joining a group of about 30 chaps, all retired or no longer working full time? Members get together for a chat and a coffee followed by a presentation by an invited speaker. Meetings are informal, and speakers entertain with a varied programme of interesting topics.
The club meets at 10.00am to 12.00pm every second Friday during the season of meetings at St John’s Parish Centre, Carlton in Lindrick S81 9EG.
They meet for lunch with partners at Worksop Golf Club in the autumn and spring, and have a Christmas lunch. In addition, there are occasional days away visiting places of interest chosen by members, with a longer outing in the summer.
The Bowls section meets weekly.
Club meetings are a rendezvous for a coffee and a get together. Time for sociability and an opportunity to keep minds active and make new friends. Why not go along and check it out?
