U3a is a UK-wide organisation that provides the opportunity for those no longer in work to come together and learn for fun.
The u3a in Worksop has over 400 members with around 35 interest groups, including music groups such as ukulele and steel band, craft groups such as sewing and art, sports groups such as badminton and pétanque and general interest groups such as photography and natural history.

The group has a monthly meeting at the Carlton in Lindrick Civic Centre. Their next monthly meeting is on Thursday 19th May starting at 1.30pm. The speaker is Linda Haywood, a local plant grower from Echium World based in the Thoresby Walled Garden.

Prospective new members are welcome to attend the monthly meeting where members will be on hand to answer questions about the u3a.
